What the dentist sees when he/she finds a cavity?
A cavity can be found through an x-ray. Cavities are mostly observed when they are on the smooth surface, which is between or on the front or back of teeth. A smooth surface cavity has the acid travel through the thick enamel. The area where the acid attacks is wide, and eventually converges as it enters the deep layers of the tooth.
